Season 2, Episode 07 – “Mexican”
This show is filled with the vibrant and fiery tastes of Mexico as Ainsley’s first dish – carne asada tacos with chargrilled spring onions and a chilomate salsa – is a fiesta of flavours. Ruby Bhogal then has a masterclass in chillies and tries a tasty birria taco – inspired, she proceeds to knock up a tasty elote-topped salad. After Ainsley’s kitchen is taken over by presenter Jayne Middlemiss – who has her own Mexican feast to serve up of cheesy bean and corn quesadillas with guacamole, a firm family favourite – Ainsley completes the show with a hearty stew of pork pozole, a comforting and flavourful dish that mirrors the rich culinary traditions of Mexico.
