Season 10, Episode 11 – “Best Of Brunch”
John and Lisa revisit some of their most popular brunch recipes from over the years with a menu to suit everyone’s tastebuds – they start with two beautiful brunches, pull-apart monkey bread that’s great for sharing and hot smoked salmon kedgeree which is a comforting way to start the day. To shake up weekend mornings, it’s then time for John and Lisa’s banana and cacao breakfast shake and fun bacon and egg pretzels – that’s followed by two decadent and cheesy dishes of sausage onion rarebit and stuffed French toast. The episode finishes up with a sweet treat – chocolate brioche bake, always a firm, family favourite – and a delicious Turkish eggs and flatbread dish that is both a feast for the eyes and stomach.

John and Lisa present four restaurant-quality meals that can easily be recreated at home to save money yet splurge on taste as always – they start with Lisa’s favourite butter chicken, tender chicken cooked in a rich and creamy sauce that you will cook time and time again once mastered. It’s then time for a Thai green curry with cod and noodles – John uses shop-bought curry paste to keep it simple, but a little trick to do with noodles makes it extra-fancy. A sweet follows next with Lisa’s sticky toffee pudding madeleines – traditional madeleines where the indulgence is brought up a notch by making a sticky toffee sauce to dip or drench them in – before finishing up with a savoury dish of sweet and sour prawn balls with prawn crackers. Coated in a sweet and tangy sauce, these crispy prawn balls are dangerously moreish!

The show ends with proper cheeseburgers with potato buns – these are loaded cheeseburgers, sandwiched between light and soft potato buns with all the fillings, that are both tempting and delicious.
